We are grateful there have only been a few cases reported in Northern Ghana: the shea supply chain remains intact. Our women nut collectors are in rural locations and so far removed from case counts.
TAMA's employees in Ghana are mostly on mandatory leave with pay. We care for our workers have educated them on the virus, manufactured sanitiser and distributed that and masks for employees and their families, and staggered work so that the few staff still working can practice social distancing.
Ghana has experienced a pause on business: Our certification processes are on hold as of March, we hope to restart in May. Packaging, essential oils, and other ingredients are disrupted and it remains to be seen when this supply chain will resume.
Throughout everything, we believe in steadfast optimism and unwavering hope.
Our commitment to you remains the same. Trust that we are just as devoted as ever to our community, and know that you are always welcome to visit our online shop.
Stay well.
Warmly,
Jillian
Shea butter is the fruit of shea tree, which grows across Africa. It was used as cosmetic and therapeutic skin care lotion for thousands of years. Going back as far back as Cleopatra's Egypt, shea butter was carried in large clay jars for cosmetic use.
These days, the nuts are crashed, boiled, and concentrated to a buttery solid. Shea butter is naturally rich in vitamins A, E, and F. There are many benefits when using shea butter products, such as moisturizing, reduces inflammation, and smooth skin. Experiments show that shea butter can help reduce inflammatory skin diseases and damage to skin and hair due to dryness. Shea butter is not as oily as the coconut oil, and often comes as a solid butter and melts on your skin at room temperature.
TAMA's premium unrefined shea butter contains large percentage of phytonutrients. It can slow the aging process of your skin and ward off early wrinkles. Here at TAMA, we use pure organic shea butter blended with therapeutic and fragrant essential oils to provide instant nourish and rejuvenated feelings. TAMA's quick absorbing and non-greasy formula is ideal for minor skin conditions and even gentle enough for babies. Shea butter naturally improves the skin's radiance and leave your skin clear, fresh and protected all day.
